How to Choose Fully Biodegradable Mulch Film?

First, check the certification. Each roll of mulch film must come with a certificate of conformity, clearly stating the product name, production date, and compliance with the national standard GB/T35795-2017. The shelf life is only 8 months; choose the most recently produced film, not those that have been in stock for a long time!

Next, check the appearance quality. The surface should not have bubbles, spots, or pinholes. More than 20 defects per 100 square centimeters is unacceptable. The thickness should be uniform, and the tensile strength must meet standards for durability. Then choose the specifications. The thickness should be based on the crop. For short-growing crops like fresh soybeans, 0.006-0.008 mm is sufficient; for hard soil or mechanical mulching, choose 0.01-0.012 mm. The width should match the planting method-avoid waste or insufficient width. Choose white for warming and black for weed control.

Most importantly, the crop and degradation cycle must match. For cabbage and fresh soybeans, choose film that degrades in 60 days. For long-growing crops like corn, choose film that degrades in 90 days or more to ensure timely degradation after harvest.

Finally, pay attention to transportation and storage. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and rain, and don't store it with sharp or corrosive materials. Store it in a cool, dry place and don't exceed its expiration date! Remember these points, and you'll be able to choose the right fully biodegradable mulch film, ensuring healthy farming and environmental protection!
