McDonald's China: Starting Today, Restaurants Nationwide Will Gradually Adopt New Bio-based Packaging; Biodegradable and Recyclable Center
On December 19th, Gu Lei, Chief Influence Officer of McDonald's China, stated at the McDonald's China Green Packaging Upgrade Launch Conference that in recent years, McDonald's China has accelerated its localization and high-quality development. Currently, it has over 7,500 stores nationwide and more than 200,000 employees. Starting today, restaurants nationwide will gradually adopt new bio-based packaging, which is expected to reduce the use of petroleum-based plastics by approximately 5,800 tons annually, accelerating the transition of food packaging materials to renewable resources.
