New appointments by NatureWorks, 75,000 tons of PLA in Thailand is about to be put into production! Fierce competition but huge potential
On October 2, 2024, NatureWorks, a US producer of polylactic acid, announced two personnel appointments. Roger Tambay serves as Chief Growth Officer and Roger Kempa as Chief Financial Officer. Both leaders emphasized NatureWorks' ambition for growth and innovation as the global market for bio-based materials accelerates with the rapid development of legislation and regulations on plastics and material recycling.
NatureWorks announced two new leadership positions as the company announced the first phase of its global expansion plan to build a new manufacturing plant in Thailand. NatureWorks produces PLA in Blair, Nebraska, USA, with an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons, and is building a new integrated plant in Thailand with an annual production capacity of 75,000 tons, which is expected to be fully operational in 2025.
