Russia to gradually reject single-use plastic packaging and products from 2025
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Abramchenko said that Russia will gradually reject the use of single-use plastic packaging and products from 2025, and replace non-degradable plastic products with more environmentally friendly 100% degradable materials.
"Packaging that cannot be recycled, that is difficult to remove, such as plastic straws, other types of goods and packaging - they need to be gradually disposed of and replaced with more environmentally friendly packaging,"
Abramchenko said.Abramchenko added that packaging recycling standards will be introduced in 2025.
