Bio-based carbon content is 92%! A new type of packaging tape is born
TESA, an international manufacturer of innovative adhesive tapes and self-adhesive product solutions, is launching another innovative packaging tape. The new tesa® 60408 consists of a strong paper backing and a natural rubber binder in a 100% bio-based resin. With a total bio-based carbon content of 92%, the tape received the highest bio-carbon content rating (>85%) from DIN CERTCO. For many industries, including food and beverage and pharmaceutical manufacturing, or the logistics, warehousing and supply chain sectors, tesa® 60408 offers an alternative to traditional packaging tapes. The tape is ideal for light and medium weight packaging up to 20 kg.
Strong, tear-resistant, low-noise
tesa® 60408 has high tensile strength and tear resistance, providing security for packaged products in the supply chain. It is ideal for branding and has proven printability in several types of ink systems. The tape is suitable for both manual and automatic dispensers and is essentially silent in use. It's also easily recyclable and certified according to the INGEDE method, meaning it can easily be disposed of alongside the packaging in everyday paper and card recycling without compromising the recycling process. Furthermore, the production process is completely solvent-free.
