Just Eat launches biodegradable packaging for Euro 2022 final
Just Eat partnered with UEFA to deliver biodegradable food packaging for last weekend's Euro 2022 final.
The move is said to be the first time biodegradable food packaging has been introduced at a major football match. On July 31st, Wembley Stadium will be wrapped in an algae coating. The women's final will be between England and Germany.Just Eat said the packs were "both recyclable and home compostable" and said they were "biodegradable within four to six weeks".
Just Eat is working with Veolia on trials aimed at ensuring biodegradable packaging is kept separate from other waste and recycling. The biodegradable packaging will be sent to the anaerobic digestion plant.
