Three moms launch revolutionary home-compostable freezer bags

Lunchskins, Inc., a US company, has introduced a breakthrough innovation: home-compostable, freezer-safe, and resealable food storage bags made from plant-based materials. These bags will be available nationwide in Kroger stores starting in August 2025, initially in sandwich and gallon sizes.

Made from certified compostable materials like polylactic acid (PLA) and corn starch, these innovative bags naturally degrade in home or industrial composting environments.

Product Highlights:

Home and industrial compostable-certified to safely degrade in both environments;

Freezer-proof and leakproof-locks in freshness without the mess;

Versatile storage-suitable for snacking, pre-made meals, pantry storage, or freezer storage;

Three convenient sizes-snack, sandwich, and gallon; Durable and reliable-uncompromising sustainability;

Food storage should never compromise your health-or the planet.

"Environmental impact and human health are at the heart of every decision we make," said Kirsten Quigley, Founder and CEO of Lunchskins. "We know consumers want high-performance food storage options made with materials that are safe for our families and the planet. Our new compostable food storage bags deliver on that promise-and we're thrilled to work with partners like Kroger to make them widely available."
