On August 15th, Unilever China, a leading global consumer goods company, announced the official opening of its Guangzhou food factory and logistics park, marking another important milestone in the company's efforts to promote the coordinated development of smart manufacturing and supply chains in China. The opening ceremony was attended by Zhu Xiaojun, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Commerce, Zhao Long, Secretary of the Conghua District Committee, and other leaders, along with Chen Yixing, Global Executive President of Unilever Food Solutions, and Zhou Yingjie, General Manager of Food for North Asia.

As Unilever's first full-category food production base in China, the Guangzhou food factory will become a key growth engine for Unilever's food business in China, enhancing its comprehensive operational capabilities in southern China and further strengthening its supply chain layout in the Chinese market.

Leveraging the advanced practices of global "Lighthouse Factories," Unilever's Guangzhou food factory has implemented a series of automated and intelligent features, effectively improving overall operational efficiency and further strengthening its market adaptability. The factory has established a highly integrated intelligent management system covering multiple core aspects, including demand tracking, production execution, warehouse management, quality control, and operational optimization. It fully connects local and cloud data links and integrates deeply with the ERP system, enabling dynamic visualization, flexible switching, and efficient collaboration throughout the manufacturing process.

Regarding quality control and supply chain security, the Guangzhou Food Factory will implement a 100% end-to-end traceability system, ensuring traceability of source, destination, and accountability, thus safeguarding product safety. As a key component of Unilever's high-quality development efforts in China, the Guangzhou Production Base has incorporated green manufacturing and corporate social responsibility into its core development strategies since its establishment. The factory has fully implemented clean energy, energy-saving equipment, biodegradable materials, and a water recycling system, continuously optimizing carbon emissions and resource utilization.

Furthermore, the factory continues to deepen its collaboration with local governments and charitable organizations, actively participating in community support, educational assistance, and other public welfare projects, striving to achieve a synergistic and win-win situation for corporate development and social welfare.

Looking ahead, Unilever will continue to leverage its core strengths in brand, market, R&D, and supply chain to further enhance the manufacturing capabilities of its Guangzhou production base, optimize its industrial ecosystem, and achieve sustainable development. This will actively empower high-quality regional economic development and create a more efficient, greener, and more convenient consumer experience.
