Düsseldorf, Germany, April 28, 2026 – Braskem, the largest polyolefin producer in the Americas and a global leader in the industrialization of biopolymers, announced that it will showcase its full-chain sustainable packaging solutions for bio-based, recycled, and conventional polyolefins at the 2026 German Packaging Fair from May 7-13, at booth A32 in Hall 9.
At the fair, Braskem will highlight its I'm green™ bio-based polyethylene series, developed specifically for food contact applications, and its new Medcol V7040 low-density polyethylene for the healthcare sector. This marks the company's first foray into sugarcane-derived bio-based plastics for this field.
Medcol V7040 is a low-density polyethylene material specifically developed for blow molding-fill-seal processes, meeting the stringent regulatory requirements of the medical industry.
In addition, Braskem also showcased its renewable raw material oriented stretch films, Inspire™ polymer food packaging, and Medcol V4020 medical-grade resin, balancing performance and environmental friendliness while being directly compatible with existing production systems.
Walmir Soller, Vice President of Braskem North America, Europe, and Asia, stated that the company avoids "one-size-fits-all" solutions and, through a diverse product portfolio, helps customers advance their low-carbon transformation based on their specific needs. During the exhibition, Braskem will also host two presentations at the Focus Forum, sharing insights on the impact of biopolymers on the low-carbon circular economy and the advantages of its I'm green™ bio-based products.
It is understood that the 2026 German International Packaging Exhibition is a global trendsetter in the packaging industry, covering packaging materials and technologies across multiple sectors. As a provider of sustainable solutions for the petrochemical industry, Braskem has 40 global production bases and its products are sold in over 70 countries. Its participation in this exhibition aims to further promote the development of a circular economy in the packaging industry.
