Danish manufacturer Dantoy launches new bio-based cutlery for children
Danish manufacturer Dantoy is expanding its range to include tableware that follows the same sustainability values as its toys.
Dantoy, best known for its sand and water toys, is making a foray into children's tableware with a range of products focused on sustainability and children's health.
The toy maker, which has been making toys for 58 years, said the collection will include the same price and quality as normal toys, with a focus on children's proficiency, motor skill development and hand-eye coordination.
These products are made from bio-based materials and therefore follow Dantoy's sustainable vision and values. Launched in February, Dantoy's latest Blue Marine line of toys is made from marine debris like old fishing ropes. It is estimated that more than 12 million tons of plastic end up in the sea each year, 10% of which is in marine equipment such as nets, ropes and ropes. Armed with these arguments, Dantoy said, the team naturally chose to develop a product line that would make those products part of a sustainable and circular economy.
Prior to the Blue Marine range, the company launched products made from the company's waste and saw this as the natural next step to produce new tableware with bio-based materials.
The cutlery will be available in stores and online from summer 2022, and will be available worldwide, including the UK.
