Mitsubishi Chemical, Origin Materials team up to develop bio-based carbon black
Japanese chemical giant Mitsubishi Chemical and California-based Origin Materials have teamed up to develop sustainable, high-performance carbon black materials from wood biomass for use in the tire industry.
On April 28, the two sides issued a joint statement saying that the partnership will use Origin's patented technology platform to convert carbon found in wood residues into polymeric materials.
