National Energy Group: PGA garbage bags are coming
On April 25, the community pilot application of polyglycolic acid (PGA) biodegradable garbage bags jointly carried out by the chemical company and the Beijing Municipal Management Committee was first launched in the Hualong Meiyu community in Xicheng District. The chemical company and community staff jointly held a publicity activity to introduce the performance and usage of PGA garbage bags to the residents and promote the pilot activities.
PGA is a high-performance degradable and environmentally friendly material developed by a chemical company using coal as a raw material. The fully biodegradable garbage bags made of it as the main raw material are composted by Beijing Guozhong Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Asuwei Domestic Waste Comprehensive Treatment Plant The test results show that the PGA garbage bag has good biodegradation performance, which matches the one-time aerobic fermentation treatment cycle of kitchen waste and garden waste, and can achieve synchronous degradation. The application of PGA garbage bags can not only solve the current problem of kitchen waste sorting requiring broken bags, reduce the impact of kitchen waste odor on the environment, but also improve the enthusiasm of residents to participate in garbage sorting.
