Award winning work: Praise 100% RPET Mayonaise bottle
Enterprise: Goodman Fielder Private Limited
Package type: food

Product Description:
In 2021, Goodman Fielder introduced 100% recycled RPET bottles on its Praise brand mayonnaise product. This change allowed the company to reduce its original PET by 400 tons, and the company sold 12 million bottles of Praise mayonnaise each year.
Traditional rPET conversion typically adds a blue colorant to counteract the discoloration of RPET and improve transparency. Given that mayonnaise is yellow and white, adding a blue colorant can cause the product to appear green, making it unattractive on the shelf.
Goodman Fielder has done a lot of work with resin suppliers to improve raw materials and produce cleaner grades than traditional RPET.
To support the launch of 100% rPET bottles, Goodman Fielder has invested heavily in traditional advertising and social media, and has established partnerships with many environmental groups in Australia, such as take three for the sea.
