According to reports, on November 5, 2022, when law enforcement officers from the High-tech District Branch of the Haikou Market Supervision Administration inspected the Haikou Xiuying Dusike Daily Necessities Supermarket in Jinlu Industrial Zone, Xiuying District, Haikou City, they found that Hainan Jitong Express Co., Ltd. There is a case of transporting single-use non-degradable plastic items (shopping bags, plastic straws). After investigation, Hainan Jitong Express Co., Ltd. and Jitu Express are in a franchise relationship, and Jitong Express will undertake Jitu's express delivery business in Haikou. The company received PP plastic straws and plastic shopping bags from Guangdong and Fujian sites, and delivered the above-mentioned disposable non-degradable plastic products to the consignee in Haikou through couriers.
On the same day, law enforcement officers also found that the Hainan branch of China Post Express Logistics Co., Ltd. was transporting disposable non-degradable plastic products (360 environmental protection bowls, PP convenience cups). Law enforcement officers investigated and learned that the company received 360 plastic bowls and PP convenience cups from Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, and delivered the above-mentioned disposable non-degradable plastic products to the consignee in Haikou by courier.
