Dell Business Notebook Industry's First PC Using Bio-based Materials
The new Dell Latitude 5530 business notebook is the industry's first PC to use bio-based materials. It provides stronger environmental protection and sustainable support for customers who are increasingly concerned about environmental protection issues from two dimensions: production, delivery and use in the working environment.
From the point of view of product design and manufacturing, the new Dell Latitude 5530 business notebook has increased the use of renewable materials through a more ingenious design, the recycling rate of components is as high as 80%, and has passed the EPEAT Gold certification. Its sustainable impact is maximized, effectively reducing the carbon, water and energy consumed in the manufacturing process.
At the same time, the laptop base uses recycled carbon fiber (20%); the new base anti-skid pad uses an innovative renewable bio-rubber (39%) extracted from castor oil, reducing the dependence on petroleum-based materials. In addition, it also expanded the use of ocean plastics from packaging to products, achieving a historic breakthrough. 28% of the fan casings are marine plastic.
For the packaging and subsequent use of the product, the packaging of the new Dell Latitude 5530 business notebook uses 100% recycled or renewable materials to maximize the life of the product and materials, thereby reducing the generation of electronic waste. At the same time, Dell has also upgraded global recycling services through a number of new programs, thinking and designing the use and recycling of sustainable materials.
A notebook can not only contribute to environmental protection, but in terms of improving office efficiency, the new Dell Latitude 5000 series commercial notebooks use the 12th generation Intel® Core™ U/P/H series processors to simultaneously improve computing power and performance , through the Optimizer intelligent tuning software, the performance can be improved by another 10%.
