Taobao has banned the sale of these plastic products, effective May 5!
On April 25, Taobao issued the "Public Notice on Revision of Prohibited Rules for Prohibiting the Production and Sales of Plastic Products". According to the announcement, Taobao will, in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, change the terms of the "Taobao Platform Prohibited Information Management Rules" that prohibit the production and sale of plastic products. This rule change will be announced on April 25, 2022, and will take effect on May 5, 2022.

It is clarified that disposable plastic cotton swabs (excluding related medical equipment), ultra-thin plastic shopping bags with a thickness of less than 0.025 mm, and polyethylene agricultural mulch films with a thickness of less than 0.01 mm are not allowed to be sold.
Specifically, after the change of the "Taobao Platform Prohibited Information Management Rules", the production and sales of plastic products that are prohibited from being produced and sold will be deducted 2 points each time for category B, and 12 points for category B will be deducted each time the circumstances are serious.
