Prince Holdings develops polylactic acid double-stretched film tea bags, which have been used in tea brand Ito En
On March 10, Prince Holdings Co., Ltd. announced that the polylactic acid film it developed has been used by Ito En Co., Ltd. for the filter material part of the "香る Cold Brew Tea" cold brew tea series tea bags.

This new series of cold brew tea will be available nationwide in Japan on March 17. The method of use is simple. Just put a tea bag in a bottle and soak it for one hour. It can be easily made and can be drunk twice with water.
This is a plant-based biodegradable filter that is environmentally friendly and has higher transparency than traditional tea bag filters. It takes into account convenience, extraction and environmental protection.
Prince Holdings Co., Ltd. said that this polylactic acid film is made of plant-derived polylactic acid resin as raw material and is produced through a biaxial stretching process. The film has been recognized by the Japan Biomass Plastics Association as a degradable biomass plastic with environmentally friendly characteristics, as well as high transparency and uniform thickness.
