On June 22, the Thai Bioplastics Industry Association (TBIA) released a forecast showing that the Thai plastics industry will grow by 3.1% in 2021, with an output value of 1.043 trillion baht; among them, driven by the growth in global demand for bioplastics, polylactic acid plastics ( PLA) pellet exports are expected to surge 16.6% year-on-year, generating revenue of 2.7 billion baht.
