Recently, a well-known foaming material manufacturer, Sekisuikasei, Japan, developed a biodegradable foaming agent "RETONA FOAM BIO", which is the general name of foaming products made of biodegradable plastics such as polylactic acid (PLA), polybutylene succinate (PBS), and can be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide gas by microorganisms in compost. In addition, the new product has excellent flexibility and fit, which can meet the requirements of three-dimensional modeling such as surface attachment.
In addition, compared with the existing foam resin, the new foam has higher processability and designability. At present, the hydrochemical finished product industry is also actively developing the use of the new foam with HighChem. In the future, it will promote the application development in a wide range of fields such as electronic parts packaging materials, food packaging materials and so on.
The new foam is one of the products of BIO Cellular, a biodegradable plastic and bio-based plastic brand under the water-logged finished products industry. In the future, it will continue to expand the lineup of environment-friendly products, and plans to achieve the goal of replacing more than 50% of the raw materials of all products with recycled materials, biodegradable plastics and bio-based plastics by 2030.
