Under the guidance of Zhejiang Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, Ningbo Agricultural Technology Promotion Center has implemented the demonstration and promotion of fully biodegradable plastic film replacement technology since 2019, and organized agricultural technology promotion in Yuyao, Ninghai, Cixi, Beilun, Haishu, Xiangshan and other places The department introduced fully biodegradable mulch films from different manufacturers, different thicknesses, specifications, and colors, and selected a variety of crops such as fresh soybeans, corn, open field watermelon, taro, artichokes, potatoes, and upland rice, and carried out a series of technical demonstrations. According to statistics, this year the city's total biodegradable plastic film replacement technology demonstration and promotion area exceeded 1,500 mu.

Relevant experts from the Municipal Agricultural Technology Promotion Station said that replacing ordinary plastic film with fully biodegradable plastic film can not only solve the problem of plastic film recycling and reduce agricultural non-point source pollution, but also improve soil temperature, inhibit the growth of weeds, and increase production.
